School Improvement Goals

• Mountain City Elementary School's fifth grade students will achieve a positive scoring gain on the state writing assessment by February 2009.

• All Mountain City Elementary sub-groups will achieve a positive scoring gain in Reading/Language Arts, with a goal of 89% proficiency or better in Reading/Language Arts by May 2009.

• All Mountain City Elementary targeted subgroups will meet or exceed 86% proficiency in math by May 2009.

• All Mountain City Elementary targeted subgroups will achieve positive growth in science achievement by May 2009.
